Christmas Vacation

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday! We are in Florida for the holidays and it has been quite the trip. Family, food, and too much driving! CG got a tour around my hometown and in normal CG fashion, he loved it.

Day 2 & 3

"30 Days of Thanks"

Day 2: I'm thankful for my faith. God is a big part of my life. I pray every single day. It's important to me to not only ask God for things, but to thank Him for all my blessings.

Day 3: I am thankful for a loving family- boyfriend included. I lost my dad 2 years ago in April and although, it has been a struggle without him; I still have an amazing family to help me through. They are my backbone. My mother has taught me so many things about life and love. I hope that one day, when I am a parent (God willing), that I can love as much as she does. My sisters and brothers are a blessing most of the time (hehe). My extended family are equally as amazing. Lastly, my boyfriend - he is considered family because one day he legally will be. He is a big inspiration to me, never gives up on what he wants, and is truly a selfless man. Like right now, he's in the kitchen cooking dinner ;) Love you, babe!!

Day 1

Hi y'all!! So I realize I have not blogged in a long time, like weeks! So not like me, I know. Life has gotten very busy, but I'm enjoying it!

I saw something on Facebook and had to do it because I feel like its important. Not just this month, but always. However, at the end of the month we celebrate what we are thankful for, and usually with family, and friends around a big turkey (with a side of stuffing). The challenge is 30 Days of Thanks. It's not much of a challenge because there is so much in my life to be thankful for, so here goes!

Day 1:

I am thankful for my amazing job. I have been with this company for almost 6 years. No matter what I choose to do or where I move there is always a place for me. From Orlando, to Denver, and now, traveling so I can be with my boyfriend. It's a blessing every single day. I am able to work from home or travel when I want to. Not many people get this opportunity, so again I'm very THANKFUL.

Obsessed with Fall

It started with Fall hair and now, it's the Fall decorations! I went to Kirkland's the other day and purchased yummy smelling pumpkin candles. It makes the house smell like Fall is in the air, even though we have a few more days until it's actually my favorite season. Although, the weather here in SC has been quite amazing. Barely any humidity, high of 70's-80's, and a nice breeze. Fall is approaching!! Other purchases I've made? Adorable scarecrow's for our plants (we don't have a garden), and a bowl in the shape of a pumpkin to display my favorite candy.... CANDY CORN! *big smiles*

Target has an amazing section for Fall decor and it's so cheap! Like a DOLLAR!

Pumpkin candy bowl was $2.50 but totally worth it!

It's Game Day!

Waking up this morning and seeing that it is September 1st made me oh, so HAPPY! It's the FIRST day of Gator football. Most of you don't know me, personally, but if you do, you know that I live for these days! The boys in orange and blue bring a smile to my face. A bigger smile when they actually win, but I'm praying for a better than average season this year (and a BCS bowl game!).

So in the spirit of today I'd like to leave you with this amazing video that gets me pumped up and of course a few pictures of my own Gator football experiences.

Fall Hair

Right around the corner is my favorite time of the year: FALL!

With the cool air arriving, less bugs floating through the air, and most importantly less tourists at the beach, there is one thing that I'm just a little more excited about than those three things: hair styles.

Although, I often don't bother to style my hair, when I get a new cut or color I find time to do so. Or new hair accessories, which I might mention are totally in this season.

I have a confession to make and it may pose a problem for my blog name, but I'm going darker. Ombre to be exact. Although, I will be rocking darker locks, with the Ombre look there is still a little blonde depending on the look chosen. Plus, I still think like a blonde *wink*. So besides accessories and the Ombre look what else is the trend for Fall hair? Blunt bangs. I have decided to grow my bangs out, so I will not be trying this look, but depending on the shape of your face they can be super cute. 

Here is the trend I'm going for tomorrow! Appointment is at 8am and it's going to take about three hours to reach my desired look, but hopefully it's all worth it!

Next up on the list of trends is hair accessories, which I LOVE! Especially since my hair has a few different lengths, so when I want an updo all I need are a few cute clips.

What Fall trends will you be trying or have you already? 

SC Storms

Yesterday was quite the Wednesday. CG and I joined friends on a boat ride for a birthday celebration. We knew that there were storms brewing in the distance, but still went out anyway. The cooler was loaded with beer and vodka (for bloody mary's), food was waiting, and towels dry as can be. Unfortunately, everything was about to get soaked, including the people aboard. As soon as we moved away from the dock, it started pouring, naturally. We huddled under the cover to stay dry, but it didn't matter. We ended up sitting in a puddle of water. After about 5 minutes the rain stopped and it became sunny. We all air dried while enjoying some music and Corona's. Searching for gators, but couldn't find any. Searched for a beach that was supposedly around the corner, couldn't find that either. We decided to head back because of the amount of thunder and lightning headed our way... we still got stuck in the down pour. It didn't stop until we reached the dock. About 45 minutes of torrential rain soaked us all and everything in the boat. Although, we stayed wet pretty much the entire time, it was still a great time with friends! Chris and I enjoyed the boat! We'll definitely do it again when our parents come for a visit.

Wordless Wednesday

I know I said "wordless", but before I show you the goods I wanted to warn you. I downloaded this amazing app for my iPhone yesterday. It adds FUN to my pictures. I went a little overboard, but as you're about to see, it was well worth it.

Talent/Style Envy: Lauren Conrad

Remember her? She was the star of MTV's Laguna Beach, and then made her way to L.A. while filming The Hills. While Lauren was on LB I didn't envy her style much because it was just "beach town" gal, but when Lauren was on The Hills and now, she's revamped her style and it's to die for. Over the years LC has made a name for herself in the fashion world. She has "LC by Lauren Conrad" sold at Kohl's and a fabulous website dedicated to her fashion line and DIY projects. I am constantly touring her website for ideas. The newest project that Lauren has been working on is "Crafty Creations". She creates videos for simple, but amazing DIY fun. Lauren has also conquered the writing world. Having numerous best sellers and writing more! This girl never slows down.

Busy Bee!

Happy Friday to all! I can't believe I've been away from the blogging world for over three weeks! I've missed it! I've been super busy with school work, visiting home and friends, and trying to convince CG that we need a puppy! I'm maintaining an "A" in my first online class and I'm loving it all. I went home to visit my momma last week and it was so good to see her and other members of my family. When I was in Florida I also got to visit my girl friends. It's hard being away from them! I miss them so much! I was able to go to Gainesville and Orlando. It was a short trip, with lots of driving, but well worth it. When it comes to the puppy, I think I've finally convinced CG that it's time to add another member to our family (no babies, yet!). He's been working like crazy (it's preseason time), so it's hard to go pick a puppy out, but soon! Other than all of that, I've just been trying to stay focused on everything that I need to accomplish daily. I'm definitely ready to go back to work. I love being busy. I need to be busy!
