10 Things

I was on Twitter tonight (as usual) and checked what was 'trending', which means a lot of people are talking about this particular thing.
One of the subjects trending was '20 things I love', it made me think of all the things that I love and triggered a blog post.
I could easily come up with 20 things, but I figured that would equal out to be the longest blog post in history. So I narrowed it down to 10.

10. Twitter - Oddly enough this fave is what made me create this post. I love Twitter. It's an amazing networking tool, and you may even get a retweet (RT) from an idol.

9. Beach - Growing up on the West Coast of Florida, I've always had a beach near by. Living in Hawaii for a year was my best beach experience by far. The water is perfection and just absolutely unbelievable. The closest beach to me in Florida was Clearwater beach. Simply gorgeous.
Clearwater Beach, Florida

Waikiki Beach, Hawaii
8. Make-up, Lipgloss, & Red Lipstick - I've found the best foundation, lipgloss, and who can go wrong with red lips? Loreal Magic Smooth Souffle - It's lightweight and true to it's color. Victoria Secrets lipgloss- I haven't been able to find a better one. Lasts longer than most. Red lipstick- any brand is great. I think you can't choose a bad red.

7. Iphone 4 - I am obsessed with my phone. Sadly, it's my life. I play 'Words with Friends', 'Draw Something', Tweet, Facebook, and text constantly. I truly can't count the number of times I look at my phone a day or the amount of times my boyfriend tells me to put it down. It's an addiction.

6. Facials - Whether I'm doing them at home or spending hours at the Spa, facials are my favorite part of relaxation. I feel so fresh when that mask comes off.

5. Football & Basketball - I'm a huge sports nut (as you can see from my previous post about Tebow)! I scream, I curse, I cry; Sports just make me a wacko and I'm ok with that!

4. H2O- You can usually catch me only drinking water. I have a soda maybe once everywhere few months. Water is so cleansing. I drink about 10 glasses a day; If I'm working out then more.

3. Greeting cards- I absolutely love receiving cards from friends, family, and co-workers. It makes me feel all warm inside. I've received at least 8 this year from a friends wedding, my boyfriend, going away cards, and just because cards. Something special about it.

2. Nail Polish- I'm obsessed. I have so many polishes and usually buy a new one every week. I changed my finger nail polish at least 2-3 times a week. I've perfected doing them myself because sometimes I just don't want to deal with the salon.

1. FOOD! I saved the best for last first. I am a little piglet. I will try anything once, but my favorite meals of all time is Mexican, Italian, and Spanish foods. I can eat that stuff all day, but it must be authentic.

So there's the list of the 10 things I love (excluding people of course).

What are your 10 favorites?

Green: My New Favorite Color

I've been extremely busy with work and well, just life.
My blog has suffered because of my schedule.
A lot has happened this week! Good & bad.
I've gotten some great news about my future (I can share later:), and the bad, well, Tim Tebow was traded to the New York Jets. Many of my friends believed I moved to Colorado because of Tim (that may be a little true), but now that he's gone, I'm truly sad. I became a Broncos fan because of him, but now he's with the Jets. Really? I guess it's just a part of the business. So now I must purchase more green clothing, including Tebow's jersey that comes out the first week of April. Yes, I'm that dedicated.

I'm sure I'll wait for the new Nike jerseys to come out, but these are the Reebok ones available now. Green is a good color!
Check out his trading card. So delicious.

As much as I loved him in Denver; I'm super excited to see him play in NY! They seem to be behind him 100%, unlike the jerks in Denver.
I'll be sure to update once I've purchased my new Tebow memorabilia!

Any big news on your end?

Summer Lovin'

Spring is right around the corner, but for some reason I'm focused on Summer.
I plan on spending most of my days at the beach, so I've started looking for swimwear. Being a Florida native I already have a ton of suits, but it's time for a change. There are so many options out there and my new favorite is the Vintage style. Brings me back to the Marilyn Monroe days, or the old photos of my Grandmother.

Vintage is so classic. It will be my style for most of the Summer.
The other style I love is the mix & match, but there is also the lovely ruffle style that is always adorable.

See how many wears you can get with just 2 suits? Mixing bathing suits is the best. Saves money and it's a great look!
The ruffle style suits are fabulous too because it adds something to a solid color suit. Gives it a little pop.

Enjoy the warm weather, beach, & sun!

Green Envy

Knowing that Spring is right around the corner, it's making me want to redecorate. The fresh smell of blooming flowers, trees that are greener than ever, and of course those rooms that make you happy.
I will be doing some painting next month and green is the perfect color.
I've found some amazing rooms and bathrooms that have given me some great ideas for my decorating urge.

The green in this bathroom is just enough. The walls with a mix of white & green give it a fresh look. The hint of green in the shower curtain gives it all an even balance.
Very clean and refreshing. Not to mention the gorgeous chandelier to accent the room.

I love the colors in this room. The flowers, the painting, the pillows, and the green ottoman's are perfection. Just the look needed for Spring.

I am absolutely obsessed with the wallpaper and the couch in this photo. Everything flows very nicely, yet simple.

This would be a perfect room in a beach front condo. *hint*
I can picture myself doing work here with the ocean waves crashing beyond the window.

This room looks comfortable and chic. The bright colors and the unique decor complete the room.

Again there is the mix of white and green on the walls. I love this look. The green and white accent pillows, green in the rug, the flower pot, and the lamp tie the room together.

This room has to be my favorite. Rustic look, hints of green and pink, and the trees outside make this room one of the best.

Rustic, hints of mint green, and dark wood. This reminds me of a country home somewhere hidden in the South. In love.

Which one of these rooms are your favorite? Are there any ideas you have for the Spring?

Hungry Reading.

I have never been much of a book reader, in fact, I usually get bored after the first chapter (even with Tebow's book). I used to take long flights back and forth from Florida to Hawaii, and tried everything to read while on those flights, but I just couldn't. No book has made that great of an impact on me in order for me to stop everything to stare at all those pages.
However, I think I've found one! My boyfriend stopped at Barnes & Noble right before Christmas, said there was a book he needed to have; I, of course, didn't understand the need for it, but he picked up a book called, 'The Hunger Games' - maybe you've heard of it?
The new Twilight? Minus the vamps of course.
He read the book in a couple of days, and then requested the second book of the series for Christmas so naturally I got it for him. That was finished within in a short amount of time as well.
Mesmerizing how quickly one can read through a book. Whew!
Needless to say he has read all three of them and loved them!
I wanted to know what all the hype was about so I have started reading the first book of three. It's taking me a lot longer than it took him because of my hectic schedule, but I'm getting there.. chapter 3 right now.. don't laugh, I said I'm trying! I'm starting to see the previews for the movie now and I'm getting so excited. I really want to finish this book before I go see the movie. I want to compare them! I never did that with the Twilight series; I enjoyed being shocked during each movie!

Have you read this book or maybe the whole series?
What are your thoughts on this new phenomenon?

Hair Gods.

When I was growing up all I ever wanted was curly hair.
I was given straight as can be, blond, boring hair.
Everyone used to always say "Your hair is beautiful, don't cut it!".
Well, I did, and then it turned into super thick straight hair.
I change my hairstyle at least every six months. Whether it's the style or the color, it's changing. I've been brunette, reddish, blond, high lights, low lights; I've had long hair, short hair, tons of layers, all even hair, and I've been rocking the 'side bangs' for a few years. I've tried the blunt bangs before and it just doesn't suit me.
So as I'm trying to go through the process of getting my hair back to blond, from a very dark brown; I've been very intrigued by the styles and colors that celebrities are showing off these days. I could never fathom cutting my hair to the 'boy' length, but it looks amazing on Michelle Williams & Ashlee Simpson. Then there is the always classy long style.

These three ladies always have stunning hair.
1. Blake Lively - Embracing the 'messy hair' and looking fabulous.
2. Leighton Meester - Perfect waves in just the right place.
3. Jennifer Aniston - The beachy look. Classic Jen.

Although, the ladies above have beautiful long locks, there is another style that I am quite fond of (mentioned in intro). I truly don't think that I could ever pull it off, nor would my boyfriend condone it, but the 'boy' style is perfection (on some).
Take a look at these ladies that can flawlessly pull off this style.

Honestly, it's just adorable! I WANT!
They all have the hair Gods watching over them!

Which style is your favorite? Are you planning a new do for the Spring?
